I have updated this to the latest beta 3.1.9.0 driver. This is the Asmedia 106x SATA host controller. I upgraded my SATA drivers that were specified for the motherboard to try to fix this. I found that the windows storport and miniport drivers were causing severe lag. I downloaded latencymon for more direction. I have checked system file integrity, RAM integrity without success. I have also performed 2 complete system wipes and the problem returns. This actually started happening in Windows 7 pro and I upgraded to 10 to see if this would help the problem. I also bought the Soundblaster Z just in case it was the motherboard sound component and this was not the case. I bought a driver updating program just in case I had missed something to no avail. I have updated the BIOS to the latest possible, all my drivers that I can possibly find, video card, etc. It occurs in all settings, from streaming music, to listening to mp3s, to playing games.

I can usually tell when it is going to occur because startup time (usually about 7 seconds) is much delayed). Interestingly, it doesn't occur with every boot. The problem: Intermittent cracking in sound and system as wellmouse lag every few seconds. Thermaltake 750 watt modular power supply I know what the problem is, I'm just not sure how to fix it. I have posted on multiple forums without a solution. This driver was rated with an average of 3.8 stars by 11936 users.Since April 2016 I have been working on this problem without success.
